Present in nine countries in South America, MercadoLibre has an online population of 341 million. Like Amazon and Alibaba, it is a thriving online marketplace that sells items from almost all industries.

Unlike the three other firms listed above, Naspers has actually been around for more than a century. It is a media company which made an investment inTencent in the year 2000s.
